RHEOBYK® -7690 by BYK is a solid, non-dusting, biocide-, VOC-, APEO-, and tin-free associative thickener (HEUR) for aqueous systems. It offers greater flexibility for formulation and production processes. It is suitable for use in highly polar and aqueous binder systems.
- It increases viscosity in the high shear range with an extremely low impact in the low shear range.
- It reduces spattering during application and higher film thicknesses can be achieved that also have good leveling.
- It offers optimized storage stability and processability.
- It has no negative effect on gloss or color acceptance.
- It is suitable for adhesives and sealants.
- Recommended dosage level is 0.2-0.8% based on the total formulation.
- RHEOBYK® -7690 has shelf life of 36 months.
