OPTIGEL® -WX by BYK acts as a rheology modifier based on an activated phyllosilicate for aqueous systems. It generates thixotropic flow behavior. It improves processability and storage stability as it is highly effective at preventing solids settling.
- It improves the slip behavior, anti-sagging properties and ridge formation.
- It is inorganic and stable to diluted acids and bases.
- It is suitable for a variety of aqueous systems, pH neutral, acidic, and basic adhesives and sealants.
- It is recommended for floor adhesives, acrylate sealants, and wood glues.
- Recommended dosage level is 0.5-2.0% based upon the total formulation.
- OPTIGEL® -WX has shelf life of 24 months.
