BYK® -W 985

BYK® -W 985 by BYK is a solution of an acidic polyester. Acts as monofunctional, deflocculating wetting and dispersing agents. It wets the filler particles and lead to a moderate interaction of the particles. Its separation and turbidity may occur during storage and transportation. If necessary, warm up to 40 – 60°C and mix before use. It improves the wetting and dispersing speed of most common fillers such as calcium carbonate and aluminium trihydroxide. It dramatically reduces the viscosity so that a higher filler load is possible and does not usually prevent sedimentation. BYK® -W 985 is recommended for epoxy adhesives and suitable for PUR adhesives. Its recommended level is 0.5 - 1% based upon filler.
