BYK® -W 961 by BYK is a solution of an alkylammonium salt of a polycarboxylic acid. Acts as wetting and dispersing agent. It bridges between the pigment particles are built, thereby creating three-dimensional network structures. The controlled flocculation mechanism prevents settling, sagging, flooding and floating. It is an anti-settling additive specifically recommended for mineral filled polyurethane systems. The active substance is dissolved in propylene glycol which can cross link during the reaction with NCO. BYK® -W 961 is used for PUR adhesives. Its recommended level is 0.5-1.5% additive based upon filler.
