BYK® -378 by BYK is a solvent-free, highly effective wetting agent and silicone-containing surface additive. It is based on polyester modified poly-dimethyl-siloxane. It is used in adhesive, based on polyurethane, epoxy or acrylate. It has no negative impact on adhesion and does not migrate.
- It is suitable for improving the substrate wetting of epoxy-based adhesive systems.
- It increase surface slip and provides a strong reduction of the surface tension.
- It is highly effective at low dosages and only slightly stabilises foam.
- Recommended dosage level of BYK® -378 is 0.01-0.3% based on the total formulation.
