Polyvinyl Acetate Emulsions & Derivatives (PVAc) for Adhesives and Sealants

Vinavil® PW195 by Vinavil is a 50% modified polyvinyl acetate aqueous dispersion. It is used in combination with VINADUR 500 or VINADUR 100 for making two-component wood adhesives specifically designed for plywood panel manufacturing. It is suitable for light wood (poplar, okoume) and higher density wood (beech, birch, eucalyptus, sapelli) and is particularly well suited to high-frequency and/or pre-pressing gluing cycles.

• 2k adhesive based on Vinavil® PW195 does not require specific crosslinking temperature to accomplish the final panel bond strength.
• It is easy to handle and offers fast setting compared to UF and soy protein technologies.
• It reduces pressing and converting time, enhancing productivity.
• It provides long pot life stability (up to 5 days) and can be stored at temperatures between 5 and 40°C.
• It enables the production of panels class 1, according to EN717-1 and EN 314 (class 2 achievable under specific application conditions), and are compliant to CARB NAF certification.
• It has a shelf life of 6 months.

Vinavil® PW196 by Vinavil is a modified polyvinyl acetate aqueous dispersion. In combination with VINADUR 500 or VINADUR 100, it is used for making two-component wood adhesives specifically designed for plywood panel manufacturing. It is recommended for light wood (poplar, okoume) and higher density wood (beech, birch, eucalyptus, sapelli) and is particularly well suited to high-frequency and/or pre-pressing gluing cycles.

• 2k adhesive based on Vinavil® PW196 does not require specific crosslinking temperature to accomplish the final panel bond strength.
• It offers long pot life stability (up to 5 days) and can be stored at temperatures between 5 and 40°C.
• It enables the 10% reduction of pressing and faster panel converting, resulting in productivity improvement.
• It is easy to handle and provides fast setting compared to UF and soy protein technologies.

Vinavil® 2256 L by Vinavil is 48% polyvinylacetate aqueous dispersion used for making mono-component wood adhesives with high water resistance, D4 class according to EN 204. Offers excellent bond strength on hard and soft woods, with high percentage of wood tear. Exhibits heat resistance, excellent creep resistance and setting time. It is formaldehyde free. The joints obtained by using Vinavil® 2256 L show an excellent resistance to static loads. It has a shelf life of 3 months.

Vinavil® 2154 L by Vinavil is a plasticizer-free polyvinyl acetate water dispersion. It provides low viscosity, excellent setting time and high wet tack development. It offers excellent mechanical stability and pseudoplastic rheological behavior. Vinavil® 2154 L is suitable for wood-, paper- and cardboard adhesive applications. It has a shelf life of 12 months.

Vinavil® K60 by Vinavil is a polyvinyl acetate homopolymer solid resin with a specific molecular weight distribution. It is suitable for variety of application where a high specific adhesion and tight bond are required. It is compatible with plasticizers, thermoplastic polymers, natural & synthetic resins, pigments, carriers and fillers. It can be used as base polymer for adhesive, sealants and mastic solvent borne formulations. Vinavil® K60 has a shelf life of 24 months.

Vinavil® 2160 L by Vinavil is a polyvinyl acetate aqueous dispersion with polyvinyl alcohol as dispersing system. Offers high solid content and low viscosity. Shows a pseudoplastic rheological behavior and excellent mechanical stability. It is particularly suitable for cardboard and paper adhesive applications. It can be successfully used for carpet-backing formulations. Vinavil® 2160 L has a shelf life of 6 months.

Vinavil® 2558 M by Vinavil is a 50% polyvinylacetate aqueous dispersion used for making in combination with inorganic salts two-component wood adhesives with high water resistance, D4 class. Offers high bond strength, heat resistance according to EN14256 (WATT '91), excellent creep resistance and good setting time. It has a pot life of at least 5 days with unchanged adhesive properties. Vinavil® 2558 M has a shelf life of 6 months.

Ravemul® T33 by Vinavil is a water dispersion of a terpolymer of vinyl acetate with versatic acid ester. It contains a protective colloid emulsifying system. Possesses low values of water absorption, high glass transition temperature and low minimum film forming temperature. It is free from alkylphenol ethoxylate (APEO-free). Provides textured finish with high water resistance, good blocking resistance and low dirty pick-up. The films obtained show very good alkali resistance, even at high pH. Used in heat seal adhesives. Ravemul® T33 has a shelf life of 6 months.

Vinavil® 2550 M by Vinavil is a 51% modified polyvinyl acetate water dispersion. It is successfully used when water resistance to EN 204 D2 classification is required. Used for wood adhesives. It is particularly suitable for interiors with occasional short-term exposure to running or condensed water and/or to occasional high humidity conditioning (e.g.: kitchen fixtures) and "do it yourself" applications. Final joints obtained by using Vinavil® 2550 M show high bond strength as well as breaking of the substrate itself or, anyway, high percentage of wood tear when tested under shear stress in compression. It may be applied as ready to use or as a component of a formulation for wood bonding or lamination of plastic foils. Vinavil® 2550 M has a shelf life of 6 months.

Ravemul® M11 by Vinavil is a modified polyvinyl acetate homopolymer with polyvinyl alcohol emulsifying system. Provides quick initial setting time, excellent mechanical stability and pseudoplastic rheological behavior. It is formaldehyde free. Suitable for wood adhesives for wood bonding, with or without plastic laminates, in hot and cold conditions. It can be used in the building industry to make parquet adhesives. Ravemul® M11 has a shelf life of 6 months.
