Vinavil® PW196 by Vinavil is a modified polyvinyl acetate aqueous dispersion. In combination with VINADUR 500 or VINADUR 100, it is used for making two-component wood adhesives specifically designed for plywood panel manufacturing. It is recommended for light wood (poplar, okoume) and higher density wood (beech, birch, eucalyptus, sapelli) and is particularly well suited to high-frequency and/or pre-pressing gluing cycles.
  • 2k adhesive based on Vinavil® PW196 does not require specific crosslinking temperature to accomplish the final panel bond strength.
  • It offers long pot life stability (up to 5 days) and can be stored at temperatures between 5 and 40°C.
  • It enables the 10% reduction of pressing and faster panel converting, resulting in productivity improvement.
  • It is easy to handle and provides fast setting compared to UF and soy protein technologies.
  • It allows the production of panels class 1, according to EN717-1 and EN 314 (class 2 achievable under specific application conditions), and are compliant to CARB NAF certification.
  • It has a shelf life of 6 months.
