Natural Rubbers (NR) for Adhesives and Sealants

Megatex 30 by Akrochem is a modified, high performance, white natural rubber latex prepared by graft polymerization of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) onto natural rubber. It can be used as an adhesive promoter in combination with other adhesives (primer) or by itself. It exhibits typical colloidal properties. Megatex 30 possesses very good adhesive properties, especially when adhering to dissimilar components.

DP-Poly CV by Akrochem is a controlled viscosity, highly purified deproteinized natural rubber. It can be used in high-quality natural rubber articles. It possesses a low rate of creep/stress relaxation, low water absorption and good transparency (easy to color). DP-Poly CV is used in seals, pharmaceutical adhesives, teats and diapers.

Superpoly 20 by Akrochem is a specialty polyisoprene natural rubber. It is used in solvent-based adhesive systems to develop the body, resistance to cold flow and high temperature. This grade has the special ability to maintain a lower solution viscosity compared to a conventional natural rubber with the same mooney viscosity and concentration, thus higher solids levels are possible with the same viscosity. It has the ability to improve flow characteristics and increase mixed viscosities which are advantageous properties to mixing, performing and molding rubber. Superpoly 20 is applicable in gaskets and windscreen seals. Due to their unique two-phase structure, it is very clean, light in color and contains low levels of volatile matter.
