Flamtard S+ by William Blythe is a non-zinc containing flame-retardant synergist and smoke suppressant with co-flame retardants. It offers tin-based chemical functionality, making it ideal for applications where zinc ions are not permitted or desired. It is thermally stable and designed for polymer processing at temperatures above 220°C. Flamtard S+ also functions as a co-additive in phosphate flame retardant containing polymer formulations to optimize char formation. At higher temperatures (400-600°C) calcium and tin ions can be volatilized or liberated from their structure to exert catalytic activity. Flamtard S by William Blythe is a smoke suppressant and flame retardant synergist with co-flame retardants that inhibits the development of flames and smoke. It is designed for polymer processing at temperatures below 220°C. It also functions as a co-additive in phosphate flame retardant containing polymer formulations to optimize char formation. It is used in green, “antimony-free” applications, particularly in the electronics industry. It is thermally stable (no weight loss) at very high temperatures (>400°C). It is an environmentally friendly product. At higher temperatures (400-600°C), zinc and tin ions can be volatilized or liberated from their structure to exert catalytic activity. It is part of a family of n-type wide bandgap semiconductors with a high concentration of free electrons in the conduction band, thus leading to high optical transmissions in combination with electrical conductivity. Flamtard S is extremely effective in PVC systems for cable sheathing, epoxy resins for printed circuit boards and polyamides. Flamtard V by William Blythe is an inorganic silicate-based flame retardant synergist. It is used in combination with a primary flame retardant, where kinetics & morphology (strength) of char formation needs to be improved. It improves adhesion of metal oxide residues and oxidized organic materials, leading to mechanically stronger chars. Flamtard V can be used in mica filled silicon-based security cables, flame retardant intumescent PVC & PUR materials for the building & construction industry, PA, polyolefins and other polymers. Flamtard H by William Blythe is a smoke suppressant and flame retardant synergist with co-flame retardants that inhibits the development of flames and smoke. It is designed for polymer processing at temperatures below 220°C. It also functions as a co-additive in phosphate flame retardant containing polymer formulations to optimize char formation. It is an environmentally friendly product. Flamtard H has both a condensed phase and vapor phase action during the rapid degradation of polyvinyl chloride and polymer materials containing halogenated and antimony additives. In halogen-free flame retardant polymer materials it can act to increase the char consistency and strength. Flamtard T by William Blythe is a non-zinc containing flame-retardant synergist and smoke suppressant with co-flame retardants. It offers tin-based chemical functionality and is ideal for applications where zinc ions are not permitted or desired. It is thermally stable and designed for polymer processing at temperatures below 220°C. Flamtard T also functions as a co-additive in phosphate flame retardant containing polymer formulations to optimize char formation. At higher temperatures (400-600°C) calcium and tin ions can be volatilized or liberated from their structure to exert catalytic activity. Flamtard HF S1057 by William Blythe is a Zinc Hydroxystannate. It is a non-hazardous flame retardant synergist that simultaneously suppresses the generation of smoke and prevents the surface spread of flame with a tightly controlled particle size. It is compatible with most polymer systems (e.g. PVC and Polyamide) with no adverse effect on polymer performance properties (e.g. Mechanical). Flamtard HF S1057 offers multi-functional performance to modify rheology, reduce corrosivity and benefit polymer properties.
