Kalflex -10 (DOP) by Varteco Quimica Puntana acts as a primary plasticizer. Has low volatility, good heat and light stability as well as good compatibility with all PVC resins. Kalflex -10 (DOP) is also compatible with other polymers such us alkydic resins, butadiene acrylonitrile, chlorinated rubber, cellulose nitrate, PVC/PVA copolymer, etc.
Kalflex -16 (DINP) by Varteco Quimica Puntana is Di-iso-nonyl phthalate. Acts as a primary plasticizer. Is less volatile, has less power as solvent and less plasticizer effectiveness. As a result, it is adequate to be used in plastisols when formulae with low viscosity and low level of plasticization are required. It is also used with Kalflex -16 (DINP) to regulate the final viscosity of plastisols. Additionally, it can be used in high temperature compounds due to its lower volatility.
Kalflex -13 A by Varteco Quimica Puntana is food-grade epoxidized soybean oil. Acts as a plasticizer. Offers PVC formulae resilience to the extraction through oil, naphtha and soapy water. Resists substrate migration like polystyrene and nitrocellulose. Has low volatility and Kalflex -13 A is recommended in anti-fogging formulae for automobile industry. It does not modify the softening point of rigid compounds. Provides excellent light and heat stability. It gives an ideal effect when combined with barium-cadmium and calcium-zinc stabilizers. In addition, it also synergistically works with lead and tin organo-metallic compounds.
