It functions as a chelating agent for the primary driers cobalt and manganese. Activ 8® works in coating based on conventional alkyds, high solids alkyds, polyurethanes, and uralkyds. Activ-8® HGL functions as a chelating agent for the primary driers cobalt and manganese. It also helps to stabilize water-reducible alkyd and alkyd emulsion paints against loss-of-dry on aging.
