Thiate® U by Vanderbilt Chemicals is a very soluble in methaol, chloroform, acetone, toluene. Practically insoluble in water and petroleum ether. For CR, EPDM and chlorobutyl. For fast initial set-up, continuous cured sponge, Thiate® EF-2 by Vanderbilt Chemicals is moderately soluble in toluene, acetone, and chloroform. Slightly soluble in alcohol, hexane and gasoline. Insoluble in water. Thiate® EF-2 is used in press cures, injection molding, LCM extrusion stocks and sponge. 1,3-diethylthiourea. Used as an accelerator for continuous cured sponge, LCM extrusions and hot air cures.
