Zinc stearate. Acts as a lubricant. Has a low average particle size and is highly dispersible. In fiber-reinforced polyesters, the consistent fine particle size allows for viscosity and mixing control as well as ensures high quality surfaces with most compounds. Allows for uniform coverage when used as a dusting powder for uncured rubber stock where even light coatings are desired. Calcium stearate. Acts as a lubricant. Is manufactured for those applications demanding a superior quality and clear melting grade of calcium stearate. The polyolefin industry, in particular, is characterized by such applications. By use of Synpro® Calcium Stearate 114-36, build-up on extruder screen packs is minimized, resulting in longer runs and reduced down time. Used for rigid PVC pipe, siding and profile extrusions as well as for food packaging applications. Zinc Stearate. Is specially formulated for rapid wet-out and low foaming characteristics when dispersed in aqueous systems. Dispersions of it are recommended for rubber slab dipping operations and all manufacturing procedures, which require a uniform, aqueous dispersion of zinc stearate. Synpro® Lithium Stearate Veg by Valtris Specialty Chemicals acts as a lubricant. It is a low ash, free-flowing, non-caking product. The fatty acid component of the product is derived from plant sources. It provides a higher operating temperature than aluminum or sodium soaps. It offers high dropping point, water resistance and transparency. Synpro® Lithium Stearate Veg is used in rigid PVC applications. Synpro® Zinc Stearate USP Veg by Valtris Specialty Chemicals acts as a lubricant. It is a high purity, mid-level ash, non-caking fine powder. The fatty acid component of the product is derived from plant sources. It is suitable for use in food packaging applications. Synpro® Zinc Stearate USP Veg is FDA approved, European Pharmacopoeia (EP), Japanese Pharmacopoeia (JP) and United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) compliant. Synpro® Stannous Stearate by Valtris Specialty Chemicals acts as an anti-static lubricant for polymers (rigid PVC) and rubber. It is a very high ash, free flowing, non-caking, coarse powder. It is used in combination with additional soaps (i.e. zinc, etc.) for PVC heat stabilizer additive applications. Synpro® Stannous Stearate is suitable for use in food packaging applications. It is FDA approved.
