Varcum® 29008 by Sumitomo Bakelite is a non-heat reactive, alkyl-substituted, solid phenolic resin. Acts as a tackifier for SBR, butyl and other synthetic rubbers. Contains no modifying agents and is suitable for use with any of the typical drying oils. Exhibits good gas proofing characteristics. Varcum® 29008 can be used directly, or for blending with alkyd resins. Designed for chlorobutyl rubber in white sidewall and tire inner liner compounds.
