THACLEAR 3940 by Rianlon is a high performance sorbitol based product. Acts as a clarifying agent for polypropylene homopolymer and random copolymer. Reduces haze and enhances the clarity of polypropylene through nucleation of the polymer. The product acts as a nucleating agent by creating a large number of small size spherulites (<1 micron) during the coding of polypropylene welt. Those small speculates lead to a polypropylene which is not clarified. The elastic modulus of the polymer is also enhanced by using THACLEAR 3940. The recommended processing temperature range is 240-260°C. THACLEAR 3905 by Rianlon is a high performance sorbitol based product. Acts as a clarifying and nucleating agent. It clarifies polypropylene homopolymer and random copolymer for thermoformed products and extruded/blown film. It is also used as a component for polynucleation systems in polypropylene bolck. THACLEAR 3905 increases clarity, reduces haze and increases stiffness of polypropylene. It creates a large number of smell size spherulites (< 1 micron) during the cooling of the polypropylene melt. The small spherulites lead to a polypropylene that has less opacity and a higher clarity compared to polypropylene without the addition of THACLEAR 3905. The elastic modulus of the polymer is also enhanced by using this product.
