It is a fine colorless grade having the properties of both organic and inorganic matter.
Zinc Stearate by Platinum Industries is used as an external lubricant in PVC formulation, zinc stearate and zinc laurate. It has reducing effect on the initial coloring. It is a co-stabilizer which reveals their effects through the formation of the zinc chloride salt which is produced as a result of their reaction with HCl that is released from thermal degradation of the PVC structure. Zinc Stearate (Platinum Industries) is insoluble in polar solvents and repels water.
