Masurf® FA-612 by Pilot Chemical is characterized as a C6-12 perfluoroalkylethyl alcohol. It is useful as an intermediate for the incorporation of fluorochemical functionalities of low surface tension, chemical stability and surface lubricity into esters, amides, ethoxylates, phosphates, sulfates and urethanes. Masurf® FA-612 can be used directly by addition into polymer melt compositions. It is listed on TSCA, DSL, EINECS, AICS, IECSC, ENCS, ECL, NZIoC, PICCS and ASIA-PAC inventory. Masurf® FA-600 by Pilot Chemical is characterized as 2-(perfluorohexyl)ethyl alcohol. It is useful as an intermediate for the incorporation of fluorochemical functionalities of low surface tension, chemical stability and surface lubricity into esters, amides, ethoxylates, phosphates, sulfates and urethanes. It is soluble in ethanol, acetone, tetrahydrofuran, ethyl acetate and acetonitrile. It is insoluble in water. Masurf® FA-600 can be used directly by addition into polymer melt compositions. It is listed on AICS, DSL, IECSC, EINECS, ECL, ENCS, TSCA, PICCS and New Zealand Inventory.
