Ceramer™ 1608 polymer

Ceramer™ 1608 polymer by NuCera Solutions (Chase) is grafting maleic anhydride derivative onto hydrocarbon polymer in a manner that adds high levels of acid and ester functionality without significantly degrading the hydrocarbon backbone. Although this polymer has similar or higher acid numbers than oxidized products, it is much harder with higher melting points. Disperses in water and reacts to form derivatives. Improves the solvent and water resistance, compatibilizes the polar and non-polar resins, waxes, as well as additives. Because of its unique chemical structure, Ceramer™ 1608 polymer polymer is soluble in organic solvents at slightly elevated temperatures.
