Diisononyl phthalate. Acts as a plasticizer. It is produced by esterifying isononanol and phthalic anhyrdide. It exhibits low volatility and low plasticizing efficiency. It also exhibits lower migration & water extraction, higher gelation temperature and electric resistivity than DEHP. Used in wires & cables, clothes, leathers, gloves, shoes, construction materials, food wrapping, toys and PVC plastisols.
