1, 3-Propanediol (PDO). Produced biologically from glycerol, a by-product of biodiesel production. It is a chemical base compound with exceptional physical qualities. Also, it is inexpensive and environment friendly. Used in the manufacture of polyester fibers and thermoplastic films.
Glycolic acid. It is produced in high yields from glucose. Used in the manufacture of plastics from agricultural raw material components. Also used in biobased plastic industry.
