Expandex® 5-PT by Lanxess is 5-phenyltetrazole-based foaming agent. It is recommended for use with engineering polymers. Its high decomposition temperature helps to eliminate premature decomposition during compounding operations. Expandex® 5-PT is recommended for extrusion, injection molding & rotational molding. It helps to avoid chemical degradation and molecular weight loss with hydrolyzable polymers such polycarbonate and polyesters.
