DHT-4A™

DHT-4A™ by Kisuma Chemicals (Kyowa Chemical Industry) is a high performance acid scavenger. It can adsorb acids based on anion-exchange and is three times more effective as Ca-St. It acts as acid acceptor in halogenated rubbers such as CR, CSM, FKM and NBR, where high water resistance and chemical resistance is required. It provides protection of functional additives, such as phenolic and phosphite antioxidants and hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS) from deactivation.

It exhibits rendering acids originating from monomers in bioplastics inert, increasing hydrolytic stability.

It shows scavenging of free halogen ions deriving from radicals in halogenated flame retardants.

DHT-4A™ captures residual acids in maleic anhydride grafted polymers, improving organoleptic properties and corrosion problems.

It has an anion exchange capacity and a neutralizing effect due to its alkalinity.

Its dispersion characteristics are excellent which further contributes to its high functionality.

It is used in polyolefins, elastomers and other polymers. DHT-4A™ can be used at low dosage levels which ensures polymer physical- and optical properties are unaffected.
