GRINDSTED® SOFT-N-SAFE™ by IFF's Nutrition & Biosciences acts as a plasticizer for polyvinylchloride (PVC). It is an acetic acid ester of monoglycerides made from fully hydrogenated castor oil. It is used as an alternative to conventional phthalate plasticizers in applications where their use is restricted. GRINDSTED® SOFT-N-SAFE™ shows similar performance to DINP.
