12-HSA by Girnar Industries acts as a lubricant. Provides excellent, resistance to water, oils, solvents, crude petroleum etc. Also offers wide temperature range stability and high drop point. It is a saturated hydroxylated substitute for stearic acid. Can be used where girnar CASWAX is used, with better results. It can also be used in glycerin-free multi-purpose lithium, barium & calcium premium greases. Compatible with natural and synthetic rubbers. 12-HSA is recommended for aircrafts and automobiles etc.
Hydrogenated castor oil. Acts as a lubricant and a processing aid. It serves as a grinding aid for phenolic resins at a level of 0.5-1.0%. Subsequently, it acts as an anti-blocking agent, internal lubricant and mold release during molding operation. It is obtained by controlled hydrogenation of refined castor oil. Exhibits excellent resistance to water, oils, fats, solvents, crude petroleum and their derivatives. When it is added at a level of 2-3% to polyethylene, it improves the processing and subsequent grease resistance of the sheeted polymer. In rigid PVC, it aids during calendaring, injection molding of pipe, fittings, conduit, sheet and profits at levels of 0.3-1.2 PHR. In rubber, it improves the appearance of molded goods and provides excellent shape retention on extrusion up to 20 PHR.
CASFA -PS by Girnar Industries is ricinoleic acid. Acts as emulsifier, stabilizer and defoamer for emulsion polymerization of resins. It provides polarity, surface wetting and lubricity. The sodium and potassium soaps of ricinoleic acid act as emulsifier and foam stabilizer for rubbers. It can be used as such or in form of their amines, esters, sulfates, soap or ethoxylates etc. Can be used in PVC, PVAC (as emulsifier, stabilizer and defoamer). Recommended for textiles.
