Covestro launches Bio4PURConti, a €8.4 million EU-funded initiative targeting the world's first continuous production process for bio-based aniline.

Aniline is a core raw material for MDI (methylene diphenyl diisocyanate), the primary building block for polyurethanes. Fossil-based aniline production generates approximately 20 million tons of CO₂ emissions annually worldwide. Bio4PURConti is designed to address that carbon burden at the process level, without requiring changes to downstream polyurethane value chains.
