Flamestab® NOR® 116 by BASF is a halogen-free flame retardant and UV stabilizer for polyolefin fiber, non-wovens, tapes and films. It provides superior light and long-term thermal stability.<br>
<ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It offers very good polymer compatibility, high extraction- and aging resistance.</li>
<li>It is a low basicity, monomeric N-alkoxy hindered amine (NOR HAS).</li>
<li>It is a melting processable grade and does not reduce the ductility and mechanical properties of the polymer.</li>
<li>It is active at concentrations as low as 1% and does not interact with HALS.</li>
<li>It is used in PO fibers & non-woven at 0.5-1.5% and films/tapes at 0.5-1.5% concentration.</li>
<li>It exhibits good sustainability performance, low smoke density and toxicity.</li>
<li>It is a solution for demanding applications and maintains transparency while providing outstanding resistance to flames.</li>
<li>Flamestab® NOR® 116 shows low interaction with acidic species deriving from pesticide residues and halogenated products.</li></ul>
