Chimassorb® by BASF is a range of high molecular weight hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS) that protect plastics against UV-induced degradation. Chimassorb® 2020

Chimassorb® 2020 by BASF is a high molecular weight hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS). Offers an optimal combination of exceptional levels of UV- and long-term thermal stability and ancillary properties such as minimal pigment interaction and improved melt flow control.<br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It is a highly effective for polyolefins (PP, PE), olefin copolymers such as EVA as well as blends of polypropylene with elastomers.</li> <li>In certain instances, it is effective in polyacetals, polyamides, polyurethanes, flexible and rigid PVC as well as PVC blends and in certain styrenic elastomer.</li> <li>Chimassorb® 2020 shows excellent polymer compatibility and high extraction resistance.</li> <li>>Recommended dosage level is 0.05-1.4%.

Chimassorb® 81 FL

Chimassorb® 81 FL by BASF is a benzophenone grade that acts as a UV absorber. Suitable for low-density and linear low-density polyethylene and polyethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers for agricultural films.<br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>Imparts good light stability when used in combination with hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS) of Chimassorb®, Tinuvin® or Uvinul® range.</li> <li>Protects other polymers against degradation caused by light exposure.</li> <li>Shows good compatibility with polyolefins and plasticized PVC.</li> <li>It can also be used in combination with antioxidants, phosphites and other light stabilizers.</li> <li>It can be used as a UV barrier to protect the contents of packages for both industrial and consumer applications.</li> <li>Suitable for thick films, typically >100 µm and thick sections.</li> <li>Its low vapor pressure prevents losses during processing.</li> <li>Low migration rates reduce the risk of blooming.</li> <li>It can be used in high-density polyethylene molded articles like crates when used in the combination with HALS.</li> <li>The recommended dosage of Chimassorb® 81 FL is 0.10-0.5% for PE and 0.15-0.5 % for LLDPE, LDPE and EVA.</li></ul>

Chimassorb® 944 FDL by BASF is a poly[[6-[(1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl)amino]-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-diyl][(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidinyl)imino]-1,6 hexanediyl[(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidinyl)imino]]). It is a high molecular weight oligomeric hindered amine light stabilizer (HALS) and heat stabilizer.<br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>Shows excellent compatibility, good resistance to extraction and low volatility.</li> <li>Imparts excellent light stability to thin articles, particularly fibers and films.<li> <li>In thick cross sections it is specifically suitable for polyethylene articles.</li> <li>In addition in certain instances Chimassorb® 944 FDL is highly effective in polyacetals, polyamides, polyurethanes, flexible and rigid PVC as well as PVC blends and in certain styrenic elastomer.</li> <li>Recommended dosage level is 0.05-1.4%.</li><ul>
