V-Pyrol™ /RC reactive monomer by Ashland is a clear super cooled liquid, N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone stabilized with insoluble sodium hydroxide or soluble N,N’-di-sec-butyl-p-phenylenediamine. It imparts hydrophilicity, adhesiveness, strength and complexing capability. It accelerates UV curing rates as the reactive diluent. It imparts unique solution viscosity reduction and enhanced adhesion to non-polar substrates. It is used in free radical homo- and co-polymerizations and grafting reactions. It is designed for radiation and non-radiation curing applications.
