Ambergum™ 3021 water-soluble polymer by Ashland Specialty Chemical is a pigment dispersant, binder, solubilizer, liquid thickener, wetting & flow-control agent and protective colloid. It is a 30% aqueous solution of a low-molecular weight anionic carboxymethylcellulose polymer. This anionic product provides viscosity control and wetting uniformity. It offers dispersion properties to stabilize particles. This cost effective alternative to gum arabic provides unique rheology in gumming and fountain solutions. Ambergum™ 3021 water-soluble polymer can replace isopropyl alcohol in some sytems.
