PUREsorb 326 by Vyridis is a benzotriazole-based UV absorber. It protects plastics and organic substrates against UV rays degradation. It is suitable for indirect food contact applications in polyolefins. It exhibits low volatility at high temperatures and high resistance to thermal degradation. It does not form colored complexes with the metallic salts used for the curing process of polyester resins. PUREsorb 326 is very effective when used in combination with a HALS type light stabilizer in polyolefins. Its recommended dosage level is 0.1-0.5% for PP, 0.1-0.4% for PE, 0.2-0.3% for polyester resins and 0.5% for chlorinated, flame retardant polyester resins.
