MAPICO™ Yellow 50EC

High-purity synthetic iron oxide yellow (FeOOH) made in the martin process from specially selected raw materials under very tight process and quality control procedures. Used alone and in combination with organic pigments to improve opacity, reduce formula cost and add UV resistance. Exhibits color stability in processing temperatures below 175°C (350°F). Recommended, owing to its sufficient purity, to be used as a colorant in cosmetic, animal and pet food applications and in packaging or articles that come in contact with food (21CFR). Complies with European Commission Directive 2008/128/EC Section E172 for iron oxides and hydroxides. Offers reliability and consistent quality, stability under exposure to sunlight and UV radiation, and alkali, chemical and weather resistancy. Suggested for rubber and plastics applications.
