MAPICO™ Black EC (848)

MAPICO™ Black EC (848) by Venator Materials is a very fine, high-purity synthetic magnetite (Fe₃O₄) produced by alkaline precipitation of specially selected raw materials. Recommended, owing to its sufficient high-purity, to be used as a colorant in cosmetic, animal and pet food applications and in packaging or articles that come in contact with food (21CFR). Complies with European Commission Directive 2008/128/EC section E172 for iron oxides and hydroxides. Offers reliability and consistent quality, stability under exposure to sunlight and UV radiation and resistance against alkali, chemical and weather. MAPICO™ Black EC (848) is used in rubbers and plastics applications.
