CH-50-W0

Supplied byUnited Initiators- Last Updated on Sep 29, 2022

CH-50-W0 by United Initiators is 1,1-Di(tert.-butylperoxy)cyclohexane. It acts as an initiator (radical source) for the polymerization of monomers (e.g. styrene in bulk or suspension). It appears as a colorless, mobile liquid, which is de-sensitized with white oil and has a molar mass of 260,4 g/mol. It is readily miscible with high boiling aliphatic hydrocarbons. During process it provides many advantages like reduced residual monomer contents, no reaction with chain-modifiers (e.g. mercaptanes), no hydrolysis in alkaline media. CH-50-W0 is recommended with combination of more active peroxides (e.g. tert.butylperoxy 2-ethylhexanoate).
