CEPC

Supplied byUnited Initiators- Last Updated on Sep 29, 2022

CEPC by United Initiators is dicetylperoxydicarbonate. It acts as an initiator (radical source) in the polymerization of monomers, e.g. vinyl-chloride in mass or suspension. It appears as a greasy white fine flake with 570.9 g/mol of molar mass. Flakes enable almost dust-free handling (pouring, dosing). In addition it also provides n advantages like less crust formation in the reactor, less “fish-eyes" in the polymer. CEPC is recommended with combination of thermally more stable peroxides, e.g. dilauroyl peroxide (LP) producing an almost constant rate of polymerization throughout the reaction period.
