EcoFlame D-238 by Unibrom is 2.3-dinethy-2,3-diphenylbutane. It acts as a flame retardant for polypropylene, polyethylene, polystyrene. It also acts as plastic initiator and a grafting agent. It is available in form of white powder and has the ability to replace the traditional synergistic agent- antimony trioxide which contains heavy metal. EcoFlame D-238 is widely used in ABS / SAN, engineering plastics, GPPS, HIPS, polystyrene (all purpose), polystyrene (expandable), PS, HIPS, styrene (co) polymers and also in PP and PE masterbatches.
