PowerSorb™ 327 by TinToll (PCC Group) is a strong UV absorber. It exhibits high degree of photostability, initial color, low volatility, excellent stability to heat and light. It is a 2-(2’-hydroxy-3’,5’-di-t-butylphenyl)-5-chlorobenzotriazole. It shows superior wash and gas fading resistance. It can be used in combination with phenolic, phosphite antioxidants and HALS to optimize performance. It is particularly applicable to colorless and light-colored products. It is soluble in n-butyl acetate, n-hexane, styrene, methyl methacrylate and dioctyl phthalate. PowerSorb™ 327 is suitable for polypropylene, polyethylene, cold cured polyesters and polyurethanes.
