Octosol 449 by Tiarco Chemical acts as a blowing agent and primary frothing aid in gelled for latex foam compounds. It is prepared from fine oleic acid (red oil) reacted with a minimum excess of potassium hydroxide (KOH, potash). Exhibits good mechanical and chemical stability. Octosol 449 may also used as a dispersant for fillers, dry chemicals and pigments.
