Struktol® TR 219

STRUKTOL® TR 219 by Struktol is a blending aid, compatibilizer with processing lubricant. It is designed for use in nylon 6 and 6,6 compounds. It is effective at binding filler materials to the polymer system by virtue of its adhesive nature while the lubricant part provides improved processing characteristics of filled and unfilled polyamides. STRUKTOL® TR 219 improves mixing and reduced die build-up (die bearding) and die drool. For injection molding applications, processors can expect to see better flow and mold filling vs. typical lubricants such as metallic stearates, montan waxes or amide waxes. It is effective in polyester (PET and PBT) compounds, especially recycled or recyclate-containing applications or in cases where the polyester compound is contaminated with other plastics. The recommended dosage level is 1.0-4.0%. The shelf life of this product is 2 years.
