STRUKTOL® SCA 971 by Struktol is a coupling agent. This vinyl trimethoxy silane improves the reinforcing capability of fillers with silanol groups on their surface (e.g., silicas, silicates, clays). STRUKTOL® SCA 971 improves tensile & tear strength and abrasion resistance in peroxide cured polymers; i.e. EPDM, silicone, polyester and acrylic. The typical dosage level is 1.0-5.0 parts per 100 parts of filler depending on the type of filler used. The shelf life of this product is 2 years.
