Struktol® RP 28

STRUKTOL® RP 28 by Struktol is a non-blooming, processing additive and polymer blending aid. It improves the homogeneity of elastomers of different polarity and viscosity for rubbers. It reduces compound viscosity & nerve and bagging tendency. It increases extrusion rates without increasing the die swell and improves calendering & compounding properties. It increases the green tack of many compounds. It does not harden during vulcanization. It is suitable for light colored compounds where non-staining is specified. It provides some viscosity reduction during processing which improves flow characteristics. This product improves the blending of TPO compounds, flame retardant formulations and filled polymer systems. It improves the performance for a range of highly filled compounds. STRUKTOL® RP 28 is especially useful in processing recycled PVC offering improved mixing between materials of differing viscosity or incorporation of recycled into powdered virgin compound. It aids in polymer blending, improves flow during molding & surface appearance. In rubbers, 4-15 phr is recommended dosage level and 0.5-1.0% in plastics.
