STRUKTOL® EP 52 by Struktol is a processing additive especially for highly loaded EPDM compounds. It is a blend of rubber compatible non-hardening synthetic resins and fatty acid soaps. It is effective at improving extrusion uniformity and preventing surging while smoothing out the extrudate. STRUKTOL® EP 52 improves flow and smoothness of molded and calendered compounds. It can be added early in the mix cycle with the elastomer or with the fillers to aid dispersion of the compounding ingredients. It is designed for use in butyl and halobutyl rubber compounds. Recommended dosage level is 3-7 phr. The shelf life of this product is 2 years.
