FuraCore®

FuraCore® by Stora Enso is a renewable, 100% bio-based furandicarboxylic acid (FDCA) monomer used in elastomer applications. It is durable, recyclable and offers high strength, heat resistance, mechanical and thermal properties. It provides superior gas barrier properties for oxygen, carbon dioxide & water vapor enabling mono-material packaging and an extended shelf life of products.

• It replaces PET bottles, aluminium cans, and glass jars in a wide variety of applications and industries.
• FuraCore® can be used in making durable and recyclable bottles (for carbonated drinks, flavored water, juices) kegs for beer & jars (for hot-filled sauces, soups), trays for ready-to-serve meals, modified atmosphere packaging for perishable fresh foods, and pouches & films for both fresh and dry foods.
