SONGSORB® 3600 by Songwon is a high molecular weight, benzotriazole-based UV absorber for plastics. It is a strong absorber of ultraviolet radiation in the 300-400nm region. This additive possesses a high degree of photostability-photochemical energy absorbed in ultraviolet region is dissipated as thermal energy. SONGSORB® 3600 shows very good thermal properties. It is a very good choice for applications that require low volatility and high loadings. It is helpful in preventing plate out on molds and die lip build up. It is used in acrylic resins, polyalkylene terephthalates, polycarbonates, modified polyphenylene ether or sulfide compounds, polyamides, polyacetals, polyolefins, styrenics, elastomers and high performance plastics.
