SILMAPROCESS AZ1142A

SILMAPROCESS AZ1142A by Silma is used in PBT compounds as a processing aid, anti-scratch, surface improver, viscosity and pressure reducer. It is a masterbatch of high molecular weight polysiloxane on PBT carrier. It also works as a slipping agent, external lubricant and surface modifier on PBT or PBT filled glass fibers. It reduces the melt viscosity with benefits for the output, stability and compound homogeneity when used in the extrusion process. It improves the surface quality of the finished goods and it decreases the scraps and the material deposits on the die. It gives abrasion resistance in automotive interiors, utensil grips, hermetic seals, impact-resistant ergonomic touch in electronic devices and better aesthetics properties of the surface through the increase of gloss and the elimination of corrugated defects. The recommended dosage level of SILMAPROCESS AZ1142A in compounding is 1-5%. It is used simply mixed with the compound pellets, during the compound extrusion or injection molding directly.
