SILMAPROCESS AV1142A by Silma is a slipping agent, external lubricant and surface modifier. It is used in SBS/SEBS/TPV/EVA compounds as a processing aid, anti-scratch, abrasion-resistant and viscosity reducer. It is a masterbatch of high molecular weight siloxane gum on the EVA carrier. It reduces melt viscosity with benefits for output, stability and compound homogeneity when used in the compounding process. It improves surface quality and decreases scraps of the final goods. It imparts impact resistance and ergonomic soft touch. During the compound/extrusion or injection molding directly, it is used simply mixed with the compound pellets. It is applicable in automotive profiles, shoe soles, utensil grips, hermetic seals, vibration dampening pads. The recommended dosage level is 2-10%, depends on the needs. SILMAPROCESS AV1142A has a shelf life of one year.
