SILMALINK AQ1042

SILMALINK AQ1042 by Silma acts as a processing aid for highly filled thermoplastic compounds. It is 100% active siloxane powder that exhibits low acute toxicity. It improves melt flow and surface quality, disperses readily into polymer matrices, reducing extruder torque and minimizing die-drooling without compromising mechanical strength.

• It decreases processing torque, improves surface smoothness, and supports higher line speeds with reduced scrap in mineral-filled profiles and pipe formulations.
• It is especially effective in halogen-free flame-retardant (HFFR) wire and cable compounds, where it increases the limiting oxygen index and lowers smoke and carbon monoxide generation during combustion.
• It promotes homogeneous dispersion of fillers and flame retardants in polyolefins, EVA, PC, PP, and PVC grades.
• The recommended dosage level is 1-5%.
• SILMALINK AQ1042 has a shelf life of 12 months.
