SILMAFLAME AP2290

SILMAFLAME AP2290 by Silma is a highly concentrated masterbatch of halogen-free phosphorus based flame retardant additive in PP. It makes PP copo, homo and random able to comply with UL 94 class V0. It is colorless, not migrating and thermally stable until 250°C. It does not contain any forbidden substance listed into the RoHS and it is completely heavy metals free.

• It has applications in electrical components, naval pipes, fireproof panels for interiors, containers and boxes, plastic pallets and many other injection molding and extrusion processes.
• It is suitable in electrical field for his glow wire performance.
• It complies with the most important fire test methods as UL94 Class V0, DIN 4102 part 4 (Wall Panel) Class B1, SBI Test to reach C or B Class.
• It becomes impenetrable during most Fire Tests where is necessary fire resistance without creation of holes in the profile tested from 2 mm.
• It cannot be used in filled PP.
• It is recommended to use at dosage from 20% to 35%.
• SILMAFLAME AP2290 has a shelf life of 1 year.
