Rhenopren® HF

Rhenopren® HF by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is a processing promoter in compounds based on natural- and synthetic rubber. It is a semi-solid sulfur factice and has a dispersing effect on all rubber chemicals, particularly in blends of various elastomers (e.g. NR/EPDM and SBR/ EPDM). It improves the heat resistance of uncured compounds, the rate of extrusion and the formation of a closed surface skin with cellular- and micro cellular rubber. It is suitable for extended polymer blends, based on EPDM. It is also used for food contact applications. Recommended dosage level is 5-15 phr and for foodstuff qualities maximum 20% calculated on the finished article. Rhenopren® HF has a shelf life of 3 years.
