Aktiplast®

Aktiplast® by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is a peptizer for natural- and isoprene rubber as well as for their blend with other synthetic rubbers. It also functions as processing promoter for synthetic rubber and activator with delayed action. It prolongs the scorch time and serves as a dispersing agent for all fillers. It activates the vulcanization due to its zinc content. It shortens the mixing time and improves storage stability and flow characteristics of the uncured compound. Aktiplast® is designed for expanded- and hard rubber, rubber articles for food contact applications, molded- and extruded rubber components. Recommended dosage level in NR, IR, NBR, SBR is 1-3 phr and EPDM is 2-3 phr. It has a shelf life of 3 years.
