PEPTON® 62 RO by Thomas Swan acts as a peptizer and is composed of 2,2' dibenzamido diphenyl disulfide blended with a synergistic activator, inert carrier and organic dispersants.<br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>It increases the efficiency of open or internal mixer mastication of natural rubber and general purpose unsaturated synthetic elastomers, where reduction of viscosity is desirable.</li> <li>It is effective in mastication at 70°C & above, and gives best performance at 150-160°C.</li> <li>It has slight characteristic odor and is an improved and more efficient version of PEPTON® 62.</li> <li>It catalytically promotes molecular chain scission during mastication, thereby reducing its time & power consumption, providing lower production costs and increased production capacity.</li> <li>Its peptizing action is inhibited by sulfur and the viscosity of compounded stocks is therefore stable on storage.</li> <li>It is suitable for use in direct compounding.</li> <li>The recommended dosage level is 0.2-0.5 phr for natural rubber and 1.5-3.0 phr for synthetic elastomers.</li> <li>The shelf life of PEPTON® 62 RO is 48 months.</li></ul>

PEPTON® 62 by Thomas Swan is a peptizer. It is a blend of 40% dibenzamido diphenyl disulphide (DBD) and organometal complex with paraffin oil. Reduces dusting and provides the best incorporation in the rubber mix. It is dust-free and oil treated for safer handling, uniform dispersion and energy efficient mixing. <br> <ul style="padding-left: 40px;"><li>Enables highly accurate and consistent dosing.</li> <li> It combines high effectiveness and speed of action with minimum dosage requirement.</li> <li> It is free-flowing and suitable for automatic weighing.</li> <li> Offers effective mastication and faster viscosity reduction utilizing less energy.</li> <li> Provides higher process speeds in extrusion, calendaring and molding.</li> <li> It is non-toxic and has no volatiles.</li> <li> It is available in a broad range of pack options including custom pre-weighed, low melt packs, accurate to +/- 1g.</li> <li> It accelerates molecular chain scission during mastication and stops recombination while reducing time and power usage.</li> <li> It also lowers production cost and increases capacity.</li> <li> The peptizing action is inhibited by sulfur, so compounded rubbers undergo no further viscosity change on storage.</li> <li> It is suitable for natural rubber and unsaturated synthetic elastomers. </li> <li>Thomas Swan is the only European producer of the primary active ingredient DBD which is used in chemical peptisers.</li> <li> It is ready to use and compatible with the majority of open or internal mixing equipment.</li> <li> It is effective in mastication at 70°C and above and shows best performance at 150 - 160°C.</li> <li> Its recommended dosage level is 0.2 to 0.5 phr for natural rubber and 1.5 to 3.0 phr for synthetic elastomers.</li> <li> PEPTON® 62 has a shelf life of 48 months.</li> <li> Registered under REACH and KKDIK.</li> <li>Listed on AICIS, DSL, IECSC, ENCS, AREC, NZIoC, PICCS, TCSI, TDCA, TSCA and VNECI.</li></ul>
